About the Opportunity

LCR Group has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and talented Workshop Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, SEQ Mobile Crane & Transport Division.

Based at Hendra in Brisbane, you will be responsible for the management of a modern fleet of mobile cranes, trucks, trailers and light vehicles within the division.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all mobile crane budgets for preparations, maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant and equipment to meet LCR Group requirements;
  • Supervising the workshop team;
  • Achieving set goals and objectives and ensuring department expenditure is kept within the corporate plan;
  • Ordering of all components in conjunction with supplier and purchase policies;
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and building on quality and safety charter;
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction for services provided and improving the standard of those services; and
  • Reporting weekly/monthly on all aspects of the position.

The successful candidate will have a trade qualified diesel fitter certificate, along with a vast range of knowledge on Liebherr, Demag, Tadano, Sumotoma and Franna cranes, and a knowledge of crane servicing as per Codes of Practice / Australian Standards.

You will be hands-on, motivated and assertive, displaying a high level of initiative with excellent attention to detail. You will also have strong leadership skills in order to manage, develop and motivate staff.

You will be able to communicate (written and verbal) with customers and personnel at all levels, have sound computer skills, a commitment to safety and a pro-active approach to your work.

In addition, you will be able to achieve set goals and KPI's, while displaying common sense and a down-to-earth approach.
